Sounds of the Season

When Mike and I returned from celebrating the Thanksgiving weekend with the Manloves in North Carolina, the soft rock station in Vancouver had switched their format to "All Christmas Music, All The Time" for the holiday season.

Personally, I love the month when QMFM plays holiday music of various genres and types. They play Michael Bublé, Taylor Swift, The Ronettes, Barenaked Ladies, Peggy Lee and Bing Crosby. 

But there are a few favorites that Mike and I have come to love and enjoy.  It is in that spirit that we would like to share a few of our holiday favorites:

"Six White Boomers" by Rolf Harris
This is an Australian Christmas song about six white boomers (or kangeroos) that help Santa on a special delivery Christmas Eve.

A novelty song about one child's desire for an unusual gift.

"Daddy It's Cold Outside" - Archie & Jacob
An absolutely adorable twist on the "It's Cold Outside" performed by a father and son.

"It Snowed" - Meaghan Smith
This Canadian singer and guitarist does an amazing job bringing the excitement of a new layer of white stuff to life.
